Save Money
Reduced Labor Costs
Not only will the energy requirements of these LED street lights save money, but the LED's have a lifespan greater than 50,000 hours. This is 3 to 5 times the lifespan of high pressure sodium lamps. This means replacement, labor and equipment costs of maintaining LED street lights is a fraction of sodium and other street lamps.
Lower Operational Costs
Saving money over the life of the luminaire is only part of the reason for switching to LED street lights. Operationally, LED street lights switch on to full brightness almost immediately. This means that your LED street lights can be energized when they are needed, not 10 or more minutes before like standard streetlights.
Environmentally Friendly
While In Use
The directed light energy of LED street lights will reduce light pollution. This puts the light where it should be, on the street or walkway, while still reducing the light that pollutes the night sky. Plus, these LED street lights emit no UV of IR radiation.
After A Life Of Service
When your LED street lights eventually need replacement, there are no chemicals or other materials which require special handling or disposal methods. So, even after the LED street lights have done their job, they won't present an environmental hazard like sodium or mercury lamps do.

With skyrocketing energy costs, increasing hazardous material disposal costs, as well as the increasing populariety of "functioning green", its easy to see why numerous communities are switching to LED street lights or engaging in a pilot program to test the efficacy of replacing sodium lamps with LED street lights. Los Angeles, California is recently changing over 140,000 street lamps to LED street lights. Ann Arbor, Michigan has already switched to LED street lights, and New York City has begun a pilot program to test LED street lights. As you'll see, numerous towns, cities and states are switching over to LED street lights. Why is this, you inquiry? Well, there are numerous reasons. LED street lights last much longer than sodium lamps, 3 to 5 times longer in fact. This reason alone saves money in labor costs to change the bulbs, as it will have to be done less frequently, as well as saving in hazardous material disposal costs. Sodium lamps need special handling when being disposed of. Another money-saving characteristic of LED street lights is they are fully energized as soon as they are powered on, unlike sodium lamps which need at least 10 minutes before they are at entire energy. As you'll see, the evidence is clear. Switch to LED street lights today to save money and reduce your carbon footprint!
